Each year the Thursday Club selects a local non-profit organization as the beneficiary of its annual fundraising. Since its inception, the Club has donated over $3.3 million to organizations serving our community.
Funds raised for the purchase of an additional response vehicle and medical equipment. This program deploys paramedic teams directly to patients’ homes, delivering high-quality, on-site clinical care. This model is valuable for older adults, hospice patients, and other medically vulnerable residents, helping them remain safely at home while reducing avoidable emergency room visits and repeat 911 utilization. The service is provided at no cost to patients and is sustained entirely through philanthropic support.
Funds raised for the purchase of a branded transport van and refrigeration/freezer units for the food pantry. The branded van raises awareness of the pantry, expands homebound food delivery services, and relieves wear and tear on volunteers’ personal vehicles. Refrigeration and freezer units allow the pantry to offer clients a greater variety of fresh fruits, vegetables and protein.
Funds raised to provide additional services to immigrant families with young children as they seek asylum and transition from shelters to permanent housing. The Neighbors Link mission is to strengthen the whole community through the healthy integration of immigrants. Crucial programs include English classes, digital inclusion programming, immigration legal services, programs for parents and children, workforce development and crisis support services. Neighbors Link serves almost 9,000 unique clients through centers in Mount Kisco, Ossining and Yonkers.
Funds raised for the creation of a Community Room at the shelter used for junior volunteer events, educational summer programming, pet ownership workshops and seminars, school break programs, staff education and meeting space for donors, board and staff collaboration. Since its incorporation in 2015, Paws Crossed has rescued over 5,300 orphaned pets.
